Ad Policies

What we allow, what we don’t, how we review, and how billing works.

Content Guidelines

Atlanta Koreatown is read by families. Creatives that don’t fit the magazine’s tone or our community standards are rejected on review — we’ll help you revise, or refund any prepayment for that placement.

Allowed

  • Korean restaurants, cafes, bakeries
  • Korean and Asian groceries / specialty retail
  • Local services: clinics, dental, optometry, chiropractic, law, accounting, real estate
  • Recruiting / staffing and employers hiring locally
  • Educational services: Korean-language schools, tutoring, music / art classes
  • Cultural events: concerts, festivals, gallery exhibitions, churches (events only, not proselytizing creatives)
  • Community-relevant brands: Korean media, beauty, fashion, electronics

Not Allowed (creative will be rejected)

  • Alcohol — beer, wine, soju, makgeolli, cocktails, drinking culture, ABV mentions, "drink pairings"
  • Tobacco — cigarettes, cigars, vapes / e-cigarettes, hookah, chewing tobacco
  • Cannabis / marijuana / CBD-as-recreational
  • Gambling, sports betting, lottery promotion
  • Adult content, dating apps targeting affairs, escort services
  • Get-rich-quick schemes, MLM recruiting, crypto airdrops
  • Predatory financial products (payday loans, debt-buying)
  • Political campaigns and electoral advocacy (talk to us separately — different terms apply)
  • Anything that misrepresents itself as editorial content, looks like a fake notification, or hides the brand identity

Image Guidelines

Design service
Banner design is included with every plan — desktop + mobile responsive. You can supply your own artwork or let us design it.
File formats
JPG, PNG, WebP, or SVG. No auto-play video.
Resolution
At least 2× the rendered size on retina displays. Sharp text, no compression artifacts.
Aspect ratio
Matched to the placement (see the ad kit for sizes per position).
Branding
Brand name or logo clearly visible. No fake UI chrome (false buttons, fake notifications).
Color tone
Recommended: cream/beige/dark green/white palette to match the site. Highly saturated banners read as noise.

How it works

  1. 1Request a quote for the placements you want (by position and duration).
  2. 2We prepare your banner — design included — and confirm placements, dates, sites and price.
  3. 3You approve the quote and the creative.
  4. 4An editor reviews the final creative against these guidelines — usually within a business day.
  5. 5Approved → your placement goes live and starts collecting impressions.

Billing & Cancellation

Rejected creative
If a creative can’t be approved, we work with you to fix it — or refund the prepayment for that placement.
Cancellation
Let us know. The placement runs to the end of the paid term; we don’t prorate mid-term by default.
Payment
Invoiced up front for the agreed term. Receipts provided.
Site outage
If your placement is unavailable for >24h due to our infrastructure, we credit the affected days toward your next run.

Terms

  • Placements, duration, sites and price are agreed up front in your quote.
  • Banner design (desktop + mobile responsive) is included with every plan.
  • To change, extend or pause a placement, just contact us — no self-service account needed.
  • Prepaid per the agreed term; renewals by agreement.
